Grains of Hope

    Genetically engineered crops (GM crops)  is one of the burgeoning products which has used the new technology to produce in the modern times. But some protesters worried about the new ways could destroy  the ecosystem. Today, some countries support the GM crops, some countries have no idea, and others oppose it. Actually, the global food need new technology to improve their quality and quantity, but still have some important problems to solve.
    There are some remarkable benefits of GM crops which are easy to discover. Obviously, GM crops can improve the lives of millions of the pooest people in the world. Because of that GM crops could increase human eyesight and resistance to disease. In this case, at least a million children who die every year because they are weakness and lack the nutrition they must need. The new food can solve this problem and give the global poor people hopes. The GM crops will be a better need to conserve and reduce the chemical pollution. The society is developing constantly and the rhythm of the development is faster and faster. Some sciensists said that they have to take advantage ofeverything available to them to produce more food, and reduce the pollution. There is another way to protect our homeworld. Also, that can improve the yield of crops. In 1995,sciensists planted a field of regular papaya and two types of transgenic papaya. At last, the regular papaya didn't grow up any more, but the GM plants were healthy and have lots of grains. The similar input maybe give you different havrest, it's the amazing way to help people gain more and more.
    But they aslo have some potential harm for ecological environment and system which have to solve. First of all, that's a strange way might cause ecological damage. When the benefits seemd small when the golden rice was developed. For people, this is a big problem and huge challenge to overcome. And it also could cause allergic peactions. GM food is one source of allergens. The problem as opponents pf biotechnology term it. For example, Pollen from wind-pollinated plants, such as corn and carola will be carried wide and far to influence the other plants. The pollen from GM crops will fertilize wild plants, and the aftermath is serious. It could make stronger weeds even more difficult to control. Noboby has known the result of the pollen from GM crops. That's possible to happen.
    In conclusion, I think it's a rising and applied technology and invention which can improve the quality and quantity of our global food. It's helpful to human and society's progress. But the new methods still many problems, if we can solve them, human could gain the higher level success.
